MOYA N. CAHILL, P. Eng.

Ms. Cahill is a professional engineer with over 19 years in the marine and offshore sector. Born in St. John's Newfoundland, Ms. Cahill graduated from Memorial University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Engineering in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. Ms. Cahill started her career in the oil & gas sector in Norway in the early 1980's. In 1989, she established MNC Group Inc., an engineering and business consulting group based in St. John's with project offices in Halifax. In 1998, Ms. Cahill co-founded Pan Maritime Energy Services Inc., an Atlantic Canadian engineering company offering innovative commercial and technical support for development of Canada's East Coast's oil & gas sector.

Ms. Cahill has been involved in a number of community and industry associations. She is co-chair of the Premier's Advisory Council on the Economy and Technology, member of Federal Government's Sectoral Advisory Group for International Trade, governor of The Canadian Unity Council and just recently accepted a position as Chair of Governors for the College of the North Atlantic. In her capacity with the College, Ms. Cahill sits on the board of the Atlantic Canada Petroleum Institute based in Halifax. Ms. Cahill is Past-Chairman of the Board for Marine Atlantic, Past-Director of MT&T in Nova Scotia, Past-President of Newfoundland Ocean Industry Association (NOIA), and was a member of the Federal Task Force for the Future of Canada's Financial Sector. In 1994 she was awarded the Canadian Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award and was a finalist in the World Young Business Achiever. In 1998, Ms. Cahill was recognized amongst Canada's "Top 40 Under 40" by the Financial Post and CIBC and just recently named Canada's "Power 50 Women" by the National Post.
