The Canadian Unity Council, a non-profit and non partisan organization, is a rallying point for thousands of volunteers. They share the conviction that better understanding of the nature and workings of Canadian institutions reinforces feelings of attachment to the country and greater citizen involvement in major discussions about the federation's future.

They are of all political stripes, but they put their differences aside and work together. The common goal is to increase understanding of federalism's advantages which, despite inherent tensions, enhances the richness of regional economic, political, social and cultural values unique to Canada.
